Scholarships at UCI

UC Irvine offers many scholarship opportunities for current undergraduate students through the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships' annual online scholarship application. The scholarship application open period for continuing students is open through the month of January for awarding in the upcoming academic year.

Find the right scholarships for you on ScholarshipUniverse

UCI uses ScholarshipUniverse, an online platform that matches students to relevant scholarships based on the student's personalized profile, to apply to campuswide and external scholarships.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine your federal aid eligibility. The California Dream Act Application allows students who are undocumented and nonresident students (U.S. Citizens and eligible non-citizens) who qualify for a non-resident exemption under Assembly Bill 540 (AB 540), and are interested in attending eligible California Colleges, Universities and Career Education Programs, to apply for state financial aid. Both of these applications are used for need based scholarships to determine how much aid you are eligible to receive.

UCI Distinguished Scholarships Category

The Distinguished Scholarship category does not require any scholarship application. Students are automatically considered for the scholarships in this category based on the UC application for admission. No additional materials are required nor considered in the selection process for these scholarships. To be considered for these three scholarships, you must apply for fall admission by November 30.
