Get a Global Perspective and an Education
Studying overseas to study can be one of the best times of your life. In an increasingly global world, it can also be your ticket to broadening your experience, growing your network, and gaining the skills to help launch your career. If you can afford to go to UCI, you can afford to study abroad.
You can choose from two routes. The Education Abroad Program (EAP) offers over 150 programs in more than 40 countries. Because EAP is closely aligned with UCI’s curriculum, most financial aid applies.
If you’re looking for something a little different, there are independent program options offered by U.S.-based international education organizations, as well as U.S. and international colleges.
Ready to fund your Study Abroad program? Here are a few financial aid reminders to consider.
- You can apply your federal, state, and institutional aid awarded to support your study abroad cost.
- Private scholarships are generally applicable, unless restricted by the donor.
- Student and parent loans are available to cover up to the full cost of your abroad cost.
- Tuition and fee waivers are generally applicable, just check with the financial aid office for further confirmation.
- Work-Study awards cannot be used while studying abroad.
