Financial Aid Resources at UCI
UCI offers many on-campus and online resources to help students make the most of their financial aid opportunities.
We're here to help
We have put together some resources and tips to keep you on track.
Whether you're a new or continuing student, you must file a FAFSA application each year by March 2 to determine your eligibility for financial assistance. UCI's Federal School code is 001314. Read more about it at Applying for Aid.
If you qualify for an AB540 nonresident tuition exemption you must complete the California Dream Act Application each year by March 2 to apply for financial aid. The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) will send you an email acknowledgement after your California Dream Act Application has been received. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 30 days, please contact CSAC Student Support Branch at (888) 224-7268.
Cal Grants are awarded by the state of California and based on financial need, meaning they do not need to be repaid. To be eligible for a Cal Grant, you need to be a California resident or meet the AB540 criteria, and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Find more information at Cal Grant.
If you have been instructed by the Financial Aid staff to complete a certain form, you can download it here and print it on your own printer. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the forms.
If you enter, you eventually must exit. Just like entrance counseling, you have to complete exit counseling if you’re planning to graduate or leave school.
Are you a new federal student loan borrower at UCI?Then you'll need to complete some requirements, even if you previously took out a loan at another institution. We listed those tools for you.
Just remember when you're completing your loan documents online to select the University of California - Irvine.
The ZOT Account system is a smart way to check your bills, which will include your tuition, fees, on-campus housing, etc. It will also show you your payment status. If you check your Zot Account once a month, you will be informed! This is also where you’ll access CASHNet.
If your address has changed recently, you can change it online at the Registrar's StudentAccess page. It's also an easy way to check your grades, transcripts and course enrollment.
